SOLAR WATER HEATER

There are two types of Solar Water Heater :-

ETC (Evacuated Tube Collector)

  • This type of system comes with glass tube & is highly fragile i.e. if any glass tube breaks, the system will stop working.
  • This type of S.W.H. is less costly as compared to FPC systems.
  • This type of system works both on solar & electricity.

FPC (Flat Plate Collector)

  • In this type of SWH, system can be changed according to the needs of customer
  • This type of system comes in a compact cabinet & is secure from breakage.
  • This type of system is costly & long lasting than ETC.
  • This type of system works both on solar & electricity.

OFF GRID SOLAR POWER PLANT

  • This type of plant is used when there is irregular supply electricity i.e. light goes for 4 - 6 hours in a day anytime
  • This type of plant is with battery bank & is costly.
  • There is no subsidy on off-grid plants.
  • Only solar batteries with 5 years warranty should be used in off-grid plant which is changeable & is in scope of customers.
  • Generally, a single bank of 150AH - 200AH solar batteries will give 3-6 hours of back-up on full load. If you want to increase battery bank then simultaneously solar panels & PCU will also increase.
  • General pricing can be around 70,000/- per kilowatt exact pricing depends on structure height, battery warranty & company of panel, quality of PCU / solar inverter quality, warranty & MPPT technology.

ON GRID SOLAR POWER PLANT

  • This type of plant is used where there is 24 hours supply of electricity but the electricity bill is more.
  • This type of plant is without battery back-up. So, if in day time electricity goes off then solar power plant will stop working.
  • This type of plant is connected through Bi-polar electricity meters i.e. excess electricity which customer is unable to use goes to electricity department which is adjusted later in the bill.
  • Bi- polars meter are provided by electricity department or us, which is chargable.
  • Subsidy is given to customers for home installation only. For commercial user only tax benifit is applicable.
  • According to government policy only 80% - 100% of the sanctioned electricity load can be used as solar power plant's capacity.

HYBRID SOLAR POWER PLANT

  • This type of plant is a mixture of both On-grid & Off-grid plant i.e. it works in 3 ways.
  • This type of plant is used where electricity goes off for 2-3 hours in day & customer also wants to save electricity bills.
  • In this type of solar system, solar panel generates energy which goes to running load in daytime from P.C.U / solar Inverter. Whatever energy is left goes to battery for charging. In case the battery is charged, then whatever energy is saved goes to government through net metering.
  • This type of system is a little costly than Off-grid Power Plant because P.C.U. is costly.
  • This type of system cannot exceed the total sanctioned load of customer (same as On-grid.).

SOLAR PURE HYBRID POWER PLANT

This type of plant is new in market. It is used basically for commercial & Industrial purpose. In this type of plant there is no requirement for electricty & battery backup is optional i.e. if customer is facing problem of power cuts & huge electricity bill then he can go for this type of plant. In this type of plant, whether electricity is coming or not, the load will directly run on solar. Best point of this plant is that battery is option i.e. if customer wants then he can install batteries or if he doesnt wants then he can remove or not install batteries at all.
